Oh. My. God.

I'm so excited! I just bought my plane ticket to Ithaca, NY to visit a friend for 5 days. It's going to be super-awesome amazing.

... except for the 2 hour lay-over... and the $350 it's costing me. I'll be stuck in Philadelphia for 2 hours going and returning. The total flight time is 3 hours and 15 minutes, but the 2 hours I'll be spending at the Philadelphia airport... yeah. Not so great. Still excited. I'll have my cellphone so I can call and chat with people for 2 hours- or I'll pull out my Nintendo DS and play Mario Party or something silly.

Anyways, first time travelling alone and I'm going all of the way up to New York. In December. I know that I'm just asking to freeze my nonexistant ass off. I have to get warmer clothes to carry with me, but I want to pack as light as possible (I have a fear of losing my luggage since I'm trading planes.)

I'll be leaving December 12th at 12:40 from Atlanta, arriving in Philadelphia at 2:44... then leaving Philadelphia at 4:50 and arriving in Ithaca at 6:40. That is, if there are no delays. Errk. A little nervous about flying. Just a little. I've been away from home before with friends, granted... to Mrytle Beach and to Atlanta. But New York? That's pretty damn far away. I will survive, though! I just have to remember to eat (I get excited and forget to) and take my medicine on time. Unfortunately, I have to visit during exam time- and in December. Fuck it's going to be cold.

Damn being spoiled and raised in the south. I need warmer clothes. Very badly. Like. I own way too many tanktops, and that is NOT going to work in NY. Of course, I have stylish, warm jackets. That could work, could it? I think so. Going shopping with my mom tomorrow for clothes. It's only November 13, but I have so much to do between now and then, it's going to sneak up on me, I just know it.

Funny that exams at my school end on the 11th and I leave the day after. Am I going to be able to sleep the 11th? Probably not. Bad situation. But hey, maybe I'll sleep on the plane or something. Then again, since I'm travelling by myself, maybe that's not such a good idea.

Gah. Okay. Ramble over. I'm just INCREDIBLY surprised my parents agreed. I didn't think they would, but they did and I'm happy happy happy!!!
